Split-Top natural stone steps — the most rustic character we offer. Each top is hand-split along the stone's natural grain, the way stone was worked before saws: an organic, undulating, time-worn surface no machine can imitate, paired with a natural weathered edge. Available in Weatheredge Limestone and Elite Blue Granite — two stones dense enough to split clean and live outside forever.

Because every top follows the grain, no two steps match — and that's the point. These suit cottage paths, garden stairs, and heritage-style entries where a sawn line would look too new.

YOUR CHOICES — HOW TO ORDER

1. Stone. Weatheredge for the warm beige-to-blue-grey range; Elite Blue for the cooler veined granite.

2. Depth — any inch. Your tread, front-to-back. 14″–18″ feels right on a garden run; deeper for landings.

3. Length — any inch. We bill the next stocked length and cut to your number. The selector shows a per-square-foot figure alongside the piece price.

4. Add to cart. Priced per piece before volume discount — the discount applies automatically in the cart as your order grows. Split-top work is hand work; every piece is confirmed before production.

GOOD TO KNOW

A comfortable outdoor stair keeps every riser identical — the body notices a half-inch difference at the third step. Solid stone steps make that easy: each piece is the riser. For squared multi-step runs, set each step back on step spacers (cheeks) so courses stay level and risers stay consistent front to back. Sawn top-and-bottom bedding faces mean the pieces stack true without shimming.
