Sill & Coping Stone - Elite Blue Granite
THE STONE
Elite Blue Granite is a cool blue-grey Ontario granite with some of the most striking natural veining you'll find in a domestic stone. Texture the surface and the veining intensifies — it's the same stone Colonial has supplied for everything from lakeside patios to multi-storey commercial builds, chosen when the project calls for granite hardness with real visual depth. No two pieces repeat; the veining is the signature.
A sill is small stone doing a big job: it finishes the opening, throws water clear of the wall, and quietly signals that the masonry was done right. Coping does the same for a wall — capping it against weather while giving the eye a clean line to follow.
In Elite Blue, the sill line becomes a feature: cool blue-grey with live veining that reads beautifully against brick, board-and-batten, and painted trim. Granite density means crisp edges that stay crisp.
YOUR CHOICES — HOW TO ORDER
Sills and coping are ordered two ways, and the selector handles both:
Exact Length (per piece) — for window sills, door sills, and runs where each piece is a specific size. Pick thickness, set depth and length to any inch, and we bill the next stocked size and cut to your exact number — cutting and sawn ends included. This is the mode for "I need 9 sills at 41″."
Random Lengths (per linear foot) — for wall caps, parapets, and longer coping runs. You buy total linear feet; pieces arrive in mixed lengths within the range shown. And here's the mason's secret: random lengths aren't the budget option — they're often the better-looking option. Mixed lengths mean staggered joints and natural coursing, the way stone walls have been capped for centuries. A wall capped in identical pieces reads manufactured; a wall capped in random lengths reads like it grew there. The selector even estimates how many pieces your footage works out to.
Drip cut. Choose Yes for window sills — a saw kerf under the front overhang that breaks the water's path so it drips clear instead of tracking back and staining the wall below. Choose No for coping and caps that don't need it.
Edges. 1 L-Edge Rock-Face (the classic: chiselled front, sawn everywhere else) comes standard. 2 L-Edge Rock-Face adds a second chiselled edge — the right call when both faces of a wall cap show; it's a small per-linear-foot upcharge the selector adds to your cart automatically. 3 Edge and All 4 Rock-Face for fully exposed caps and pier caps, or Saw Cut Smooth throughout for a crisp modern profile.
Smaller orders include a flat crating & handling charge that's removed automatically as your order grows — the selector shows it before you commit.
Every price is per piece before volume discount — the discount applies automatically in the cart as your order total grows, so larger orders always price themselves.
