New Fireplace Using Old Durham Moss & Leiken Natural Stone Veneer

We recently had a resident in a suburb of Kansas City, USA, contact us asking if we had a stone that looked like a pic they found online. Shown below is not our product, but could we match or offer something similar?  

Right away, we thought our Old Durham Moss & Leiken was a potential fit ... on the left below is the sample image, and right side is a house that used our stone (see product page)

This customer was nearing completion of an addition, and the new room is an off-shoot to the kitchen, with a gas fireplace that would be home to a new natural stone facade and fireplace mantel. Given the view from the kitchen, this room/accent was an opportunity to really support and even lift the spirit and overall feeling of a warm, cozy, welcome and happy place. So a very important decision no doubt. 

We delivered the product about 3.5 weeks later, and shortly after, we can see the finished result. A beautifully designed living room that could easily make its way into any designer magazine or pinterest wall post. This customer did a drystack installation, utilizing smaller pieces to fill any gaps, so a very appealing combination of color and size of stones used to make the wall. A barn wood mantel and overhead ridgebeam, with soft color furniture and some contrasting pillows, and antique table and authentic rustic brown candle chandelier ... stunning and we're definitely proud and thankful to be apart of this project! 

In the end, there's just a few scrap corner pieces, and a supply of flats that we're told are being used for the risers of the front porch walkway steps.
